Bali

More than just beaches. Bali has terraced rice paddies that look unreal, temples draped in mist, surf breaks that draw people from around the world, and a food scene that goes way beyond tourist warungs. Each region feels like a different island.

Bali travel FAQ

How many days should I spend in Bali?

7 days minimum to really get it. Bali's regions are spread out — Ubud for culture and rice terraces, Seminyak for beaches and nightlife, Uluwatu for cliffs and surfing. You'll want at least 2-3 days per area. Add a day trip to Nusa Penida if you can.

Is Bali budget-friendly?

Very much so. A good meal at a local warung costs $2-3. Private villas with pools can be under $50/night. Scooter rental is about $5/day. The tourist areas (Seminyak beach clubs, fancy restaurants) can get pricey, but staying local keeps costs way down.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Most nationalities get a 30-day visa on arrival for about $35. It's extendable once for another 30 days. Some countries qualify for free visa entry. Check Indonesia's immigration site before you fly — requirements can change.
